Is it expensive to rent?
Quite simply - No! We are dedicated to providing the best value in bike rentals. In fact, you can ride our bikes 20 minutes everyday for free. We invite you to research any of our competitor prices and compare. We are simply the best value. See our rental rates here.
Can I really ride for 20 minutes for free?
Yes! The first 20 minutes of every ride is free...period. Trail Town Bikes is dedicated to providing access to the D&L Trail for everyone. We recognize that not everyone has the means to rent a bike as often as they would like. So, we let you get out there as often as you like...for free.
I'm not "tech savvy". Can I do this?
If you can use your phone's camera, and follow directions, then you can absolutely do this! We recommend you:
- Download the Movatic App and go through the step-by-step registration process.
- Play around with the App before arriving at the kiosk.
- Watch the App "update" on the map
- Use the map to find Trail Town Bikes in White Haven
- Click on the 🚲 icon and explore the rental process...its easy!
What happens if I don't like it?
We are pretty sure that won't happen, but if so...just return the bike within your free 20 minute period. Easy.
I have not ridden a bike in years. Can I do this?
It's as easy as riding a bike! (Sorry. We couldn't resist.)
Seriously though, if you have ever ridden a bike, it will come back very quickly. Plus, our bikes are designed to be VERY user friendly:
- They are upright bikes. No leaning over the handlebars, and craning your neck to see. They are also easy on your back.
- They have a drop-down front tube, so its very easy to get your leg over the bike.
- The seats are wide and "cushy".
- There is no complicated gear shifting. Just twist forward on the right handle to make it easier to pedal. Twist back to make it harder.
- The bikes have disc brakes, just like your car. Much safer.

Do you provide helmets?
Yes! We have some pretty cool collapsible helmets in the bench box right next to the kiosk. Just use the combination you find in the Terms of Service of your rental.
Can I ride to Jim Thorpe?
Are you hardcore? Is so, then Yes! Our kiosk is "rent here, return here", so please plan accordingly. We would recommend making a day of it. Start early, spend some time in Jim Thorpe, and head back. It is approximately a 50 mile round trip ride, so make sure you are up to it!
